Day Zero
The highlight of the night (for this guy at least,) was Michael Pritzl’s
nearly non-existent worship set at the beach at midnight. Pritzl and other
members of The Violet Burning were hostages to diverted flights all day,
just barely made it to the grounds on time. A huge crowd turned out and
Michelle and I (The Wayside) were honored to sing and play along with
Michael. His songs of worship really put an amazing capper on a great
day. With the sound of fish jumping in the water behind us, and the glorious
voices of a couple thousand worshippers in front of us, it was a Cornerstone
moment that will surely last in my memory as one of the best.

Day 2
Late night brought sweet relief from the heat and a wide range of musical
choices. The Violet Burning premiered a ton of brand new songs from both
the forthcoming Violets release and the “Michael Pritzl Presents”
The Gravity Show project, an amazing new CD you’ll hear more about
on this site soon.

Day 4
On the other hand, Saturday was the worst day for schedule conflicts.
In the early afternoon Greg and Rebecca Sparks, joined on drums by Chris
Wicklas of The Wayside, and by a bass player who shall remain nameless
because we didn’t catch his name, rocked the Acoustic Stage. The
Acoustic Stage had a great line-up again. John Austin, once a C-stone
regular, made his return after eight years’ absence. Adore (Christine
Glass and Marc Byrd,) had to cancel for family reasons. In their place
an unannounced Violet Burning show that delighted those who saw it, and
frustrated those who didn’t. Riki Michele and Over The Rhine’s
sets were talked about all day, of course.
